Inviting your team
Dashboards are usually more useful when more of your team can see them. Hanomina has four roles per organization, from view-only to full admin.
The four roles
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| OWNER | Everything an Admin can do, plus delete the organization and transfer ownership. Every org needs at least one owner. |
| ADMIN | Manage members, change org settings, manage billing and AI integration. All Editor abilities. |
| EDITOR | Create and edit dashboards, connect and remove data sources, use the AI chat. Cannot manage members or change settings. |
| VIEWER | View dashboards. Cannot edit, cannot use the AI chat, cannot connect data sources. Useful for the consumer side of the team — executives, account managers, anyone who reads but doesn't build. |
On the free plan you get one editor seat (yours) plus unlimited viewers. Paid plans raise the editor cap. See the pricing page for the current limits.
Sending invites
- Open Settings → Members.
- Enter the email address of the person you're inviting and pick a role.
- Click Send invite. They'll get an email with a link to join the org.
- When they click the link, they'll either be prompted to create a Hanomina account (if they don't have one) or signed straight into the org with their existing account.
Invites expire after 7 days. If a teammate doesn't accept in time, just send a new invite.
Removing or changing roles
From the same Members page you can change someone's role (e.g. promote an Editor to Admin) or remove them entirely. Removal is immediate — they lose access on their next page load.
One rule the system enforces: every org must always have at least one Owner. You can't demote or remove the last owner; transfer ownership first.
Belonging to multiple orgs
A single Hanomina user account can be a member of as many organizations as needed. Each org has its own data sources, dashboards, members, billing tier, and AI settings. Common patterns:
- Personal + work — your own org for evals and side projects, plus your employer's org.
- Agency model — one org per client. Hanomina's multi-tenancy is first-class; you can switch orgs from the avatar menu in the top right.
- Departmental — separate orgs per department within a company, when teams want to keep their data and AI usage independent.
When you sign in, Hanomina sends you straight to your most recently visited org. If you have multiple, the org picker is one click away from anywhere via the avatar menu.
Bouncing the AI chat for viewers
VIEWERs explicitly cannot trigger AI generation. The chat drawer is hidden in the dashboard view, and the server rejects any direct API calls. This means viewers never consume your org's AI generation budget — only editors and admins do.
